Healthcare Insighter consists of my writing on healthcare topics. The opinions that I express in the blog posts have developed from over 20 years as a community-based family physician and healthcare consultant living in Ottawa, Ontario.
After taking a mid-career sabbatical, I resolved to focus my non-clinical work efforts on meaningful disruption and change of our healthcare systems. That’s because my career in healthcare thus far has taught me that we are plagued by misperceptions, misunderstandings, misrepresentations and just plain misses. These foundational errors lead to bad policy, bad treatment, bad care, bad outcomes and waste of resources.
My solution? An insider’s insights that help to incite real change.
I welcome feedback on the site content in the form of posted comments or messages sent to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Further information about my work and personal background is below.
